Wednesday, Sept. 8th. Afternoon historic walk around Pitlochry, led by
Sylvia Robertson.
Thursday, Sept. 9th. Coach tour to new Visitor Centre at Culloden
Battlefield. Cost of coach is £15 per person. Entry to Culloden is £10 or
£7.50 for Seniors and free to members of the National Trust for Scotland on
production of your membership card. Restaurant and toilets are
available and there will be time for lunch here, cost depending on
what you eat!
The coach will then travel to the excellent Highland Folk Museum
at Newtonmore, where there are examples of the old Highland
“blackhouses” to visit, and other old buildings, workshops, a school
and farm. There are two free buses to transport visitors around the
one mile long site and there is a café, and toilets. The entry for
2010 is free but donations are gratefully accepted.
Friday, Sept. 10th. Society AGM at Killiecrankie in the afternoon and
Chief’s Reception and Dinner will be held in Westlands Hotel in the evening. £ 25.
Saturday, Sept. 11th. Pitlochry Highland Games - 11.30am to 6.30pm Entry £5.
There will be a clan tent hosted by the local branch. Bring waterproof
clothing and stout shoes.
Sunday, Sept. 12th. Church Service at Struan at 12.30pm.
Monday, Sept. 13th. Walk around Moulin to visit the Kirk, ruined
castle and exhibition, led by Stephanie Robertson.
