We collect and make available information about the history of our Clan over the many centuries, the backgrounds to the Clan family surnames, and we encourage family research, pride in our heritage, and through learning about the past we acknowledge the sacrifices of our forebears who made our lives possible in this very comfortable era. The Clan society also encourages members to lodge genealogical data with the Clan Centre in Scotland and to take part in the DNA project.
A Hogmanay party starts the year, and our March Annual General Meeting is followed by a barbecue tea and music. In autumn we join with the other Clans at a Sunday picnic at very-
The Clan Society works to promote all aspects of Scottish culture in this State through media and through various Government agencies, and it also encourages interest in the Gaelic and Scots languages, music, poetry and history – in fact in all things Scottish. Our Clan social events always include Gaelic and Scottish music and songs, piping, poetry sessions and of course, Scottish tall stories and witty Scottish jokes.
