Alexander Gilbert Haldane Robertson of Struan was born in 1938 and succeeded his father as 23rd Chief of Clan Donnachaidh in 1983.
Along with wife Bridget, they have one son and two daughters. Alasdair Gilbert Robertson of Drumachuine, younger of Struan, is his heir.
Struan and his family are members of, and actively support, the Clan Donnachaidh Society, having visited many overseas branches during his tenure as Chief. In more recent times, he has particularly enjoyed visiting the Clan Centre and Museum in Highland Perthshire for the Society's Annual Gathering where he and the family are keen to meet with visitors and members from all corners of the world.
Struan is a member of the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs. In 2023 he celebrated his 85th year and 40 years as Chief of Clan Donnachaidh.
Jonn has been a member of Clan Donnachaidh since 2008. He became a Council member in 2018, assumed the IVC position in 2019 and was appointed Chairman in 2023.
Jonn and wife Kathy started the Gulf Coast Branch of Clan Donnachaidh in 2015. They reside in Alabama. Jonn and Kathy will celebrate 40 years of marriage in 2024. They have two children, Amanda and Michael and five grandchildren. Amanda and husband Bill Jones have three sons, Jaxson, Jonn Robert and Ridge and Michael and wife Kayla have a son Palmer and daughter Finley.
Jonn and Kathy enjoy spending time with their family, gardening and hobby farming which includes cattle, chickens, donkeys.
Emma joined Council in 2021 and was appointed as Vice Chair in 2022.
Emma is married to Graham who originates from Aberdeenshire, and now lives in Kent, where Emma grew up, with their two children, Angus and Flora.
Emma and her family enjoy learning more about their family and clan history and outdoor activities, particularly when in Scotland.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys walking her dog, Hugo, reading and spending time with friends and family.
D'arce Reid
D'arce was appointed International Vice-Chair at the 2025 AGM and brings a unique blend of innovation, leadership, and cultural pride to the Clan Donnachaidh Society. With a strong background in technology, D'arce works professionally in the tech field, where she combines expertise and creativity to tackle complex challenges and drive meaningful progress.
She is the current President of the Northeast Branch of Clan Donnachaidh in the United States, one of the Society’s largest and most active branches, and is deeply committed to preserving heritage and fostering community among members near and far. Her leadership reflects both her dedication to the Clan and her passion for connection, collaboration, and growth.
Clan Donnachaidh runs deep in her family. Her father-in-law, Garth Reid, served as President of the Southern California Branch for more than 20 years, and her mother-in-law, Mary Reid, also held several key leadership roles within the Society. D’arce is proud to continue that legacy of service and dedication alongside her husband, Tom Reid, who serves as a New Hampshire State Representative.
Outside of her professional and Clan work, D’arce is an accomplished clarinetist with a love for orchestral performance and has recently retired as a professional archer. An entrepreneur at heart, she also runs two successful small businesses alongside her technology career.
D’arce and Tom make their home in Massachusetts with their two cats, where family, music, and community remain at the heart of their lives. She brings a wealth of experience, creativity, and enthusiasm to the Clan Donnachaidh Society and looks forward to continuing to help it thrive.
Irene joined the Clan Donnachaidh Society in October 2020. Her role as Clan Secretary is a part-time post based at the Clan Centre and Museum in Bruar.
With her partner Bill, Irene enjoys pending time with friends and family at their home in the outskirts of Pitlochry. Visits to and from grandchildren are a particular delight! Irene also enjoys, travelling, gardening, walking, and is a pickleball enthusiast.
